Matson and I currently teach as a Professorial Lecturer in the George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs and an Adjunct Lecturer in Georgetown University's Department of History. I am a passionate historian and educator, and have designed and taught a variety of courses in modern East Asian History at Georgetown University, American University, the College of William and Mary, and Randolph College.
My first book, China's "Date Debate": How Manchurian Scholars Rewrote World War II, will be published in June 2026 with the University of Michigan Press, China Understandings Today series.
