Matson and I currently teach as a Professional Lecturer in George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs and an Adjunct Professor in Georgetown University's History Department. As of summer 2024, I am also a Stephen M. Kellen term member on the Council on Foreign Relations. I am a passionate historian and educator, and have designed and taught a variety of courses in modern East Asian History at Georgetown University, American University, the College of William and Mary, and Randolph College.
Last year, I began my involvement with CFR as an Education Ambassador. I continue to be involved at the Wilson Center, where I was a China fellow in 2021-22, and am also a research affiliate at the University of Virginia's East Asia Center.
